Deputy Manager Maintenance E&I

Location: Port Qasim Plant, Karachi

​

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide technical support for troubleshooting and repairing PLCs, motor drives, and other electrical/electronic equipment in coordination with the Line Manager and shift teams.

  • Lead maintenance activities, ensuring timely repairs, planned maintenance, and adherence to safety and EHS standards.

  • Initiate and implement energy-saving and cost-reduction projects to optimize KWH usage and maintenance expenses.

  • Manage spare parts inventory, prepare requirements, and support inventory optimization to control costs.

  • Supervise, train, and motivate the electrical & instrumentation team; organize technical sessions and participate in hiring and performance reviews.

  • Conduct Root Cause Problem Solving (RCPS) for recurring or critical issues and develop action plans to achieve zero downtime.

  • Perform risk assessments and promote reliability engineering practices across all electrical and electronic systems.

  • Support new project implementation, equipment modifications, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Monitor and report maintenance KPIs, team performance, and project progress regularly to management.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.

  • At least 5–7 years of relevant experience in the manufacturing industry.

  • Strong expertise in PLC programming, servo systems, machine automation, motors and control systems and network systems.

  • In-depth understanding of electrical power systems including HT/LT, transformers, UPS, generators and solar systems.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.

Assistant Manager Costing
Location: Port Qasim Plant, Karachi


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in identifying areas for improvement and develop proposals to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Provide financial and analytical support to the Plant Manager, Plant team, and Finance Department.

  • Ensure accurate recording of all transactions & precise calculation of costs, inventories, & variances.

  • Perform timely monthly closing of production figures and ensure accuracy in all reporting requirements in line with ASAIA policies and procedures.

  • Support preparation of yearly budgets and monthly forecast reports.

  • Develop and validate standard product costing, analyze variances between actual and standard costs, and calculate manufacturing costs for new product ideas.

  • Monitor plant internal controls to ensure reporting integrity, safeguard company assets, and identify potential risks.

  • Follow up on CAPEX projects and support supply chain teams in inventory management, including obsolete stock management and physical counts.

  • Assist in cost control and supply chain finance operations within the system.

  • Manage and maintain SAP systems to ensure efficient functionality and data integrity.

  • Provide user support, training, and guidance for SAP-related issues and process optimization.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align SAP processes with business requirements.

  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues promptly, and ensure minimal downtime.

  • Collaborate with the IT team for SAP integration with other business systems.

  • Develop, document, and implement best practices for SAP system usage and maintenance.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Fully qualified / finalist ICMA / ACCA.

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in Cost Accounting and Supply Chain Finance.

  • Strong expertise in SAP S/4 HANA is preferable.

  • Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting techniques, financial statement analysis, and projection.

  • Proficiency in MS Office, ERP/BI.
